Bannon Melts Down as MAGA Civil War Erupts Over Explosive Epstein Allegation Against Trump

Steve Bannon, a key MAGA figure and longtime Trump ally, launched into a profanity-laced tirade against Elon Musk following the billionaire's explosive claim that Donald Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files. Bannon didn't hold back, declaring that Trump's allies are preparing to go to “war” with Musk and threatening to "rip his face off."

Republicans who may have hoped this feud would quietly fade are now facing a harsh reality.

“The president treated him like family. He invited him to Christmas dinner, let him stay overnight, allowed him to freely attend meetings," Bannon told Politico. "Trump went out of his way to welcome this guy."

Reacting to Musk’s suggestion that Trump should be impeached and that Sen. JD Vance should intervene, Bannon erupted: "You expect us to sit back while some punk says that? No way. We're going to war, and I'm coming after him."

Bannon went further, saying he hopes former Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro is already drafting executive orders under the Defense Production Act to seize control of SpaceX and Starlink, placing them under federal oversight until all investigations into Musk are concluded.

Just a day earlier, Bannon also called for a formal probe into Musk’s immigration status, claiming he believes Musk is in the U.S. illegally and should be deported. He added that Trump should investigate Musk’s alleged drug use, his attempt to obtain classified information about China from the Pentagon, and move to cancel his government contracts and suspend his security clearances.

The Musk–Trump fallout erupted after Trump threatened to pull federal subsidies and contracts from Musk’s companies, lashing out at the billionaire for opposing his latest legislative proposal — which Musk reportedly called a “disgusting abomination.”

In response, Musk escalated the confrontation with a startling post on X:

“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
