Elon Musk has ignited a firestorm with a stunning claim: Donald Trump is allegedly named in the Jeffrey Epstein files—and that, he says, is why those documents have never been made public.
“There’s no turning back now,” Musk posted on X. “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
This explosive accusation came shortly after Trump launched a broadside against Musk on Truth Social, claiming he had revoked electric vehicle mandates and would eliminate Musk’s federal contracts and subsidies.
“Elon was wearing thin,” Trump wrote. “I asked him to leave. I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody wanted (which he knew for months I was going to do), and he just went CRAZY!”
Trump continued in a follow-up post: “The easiest way to save money in our Budget—Billions and Billions of Dollars—is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!”
The former president’s attack was triggered by Musk’s scathing criticism of Trump's new spending bill, which Musk labeled a “disgusting abomination… massive, outrageous, pork-filled.” He has since urged his followers to pressure lawmakers to vote it down.
In response to Trump’s threats, Musk wrote, “This just gets better and better,” before daring Trump with a pointed message: “Go ahead, make my day.”
Moments later, he dropped the Epstein accusation, escalating the feud to an entirely new level.
