Donald Trump appeared visibly confused while ranting about former President Biden, bizarrely accusing him of letting thunderstorms infiltrate the United States.
Someone might want to schedule another cognitive assessment for Trump soon.
“Biden let a lot of supercells into the United States. He was an incompetent president. He had no idea what he was doing,” Trump declared to reporters aboard Air Force One.
For the record, a supercell is a highly organized thunderstorm with a rotating updraft called a mesocyclone. These storms can produce severe damage but are formed by atmospheric conditions—not presidential policies.
Trump’s comments came in response to a question about potential Iranian retaliation on U.S. soil after his unauthorized bombing campaign in Iran—a military action he carried out without Congressional approval. The term he likely meant to use was “sleeper cell,” referring to hidden terrorist operatives awaiting orders to strike.
“It was gross incompetence,” Trump rambled on. “Among everything else, he let a lot of supercells in, many from Iran. But hopefully we’ll take care of them. What Biden did to this country should never be forgotten.”
Ironically, scientific research indicates that climate change—something Trump repeatedly calls a “hoax”—is projected to produce more supercell storms in the United States over time. Considering his relentless support for fossil fuel corporations, one could argue Trump himself has done far more to invite supercells than Biden ever did.
