📰 Jamie Raskin and House Democrats Demand Epstein Files Linked to Trump Be Released
Congressman Jamie Raskin and 15 other House Democrats have issued a formal demand to Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all Jeffrey Epstein-related files referencing Donald Trump, along with the full report from Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump’s Mar-a-Lago documents case.
In a letter addressed to Bondi, the lawmakers blasted what they see as a pattern of concealment by the Justice Department:
“Your DOJ has not only failed to live up to the Administration’s claim of transparency but appears to be shielding President Trump from damaging revelations,” they wrote.
The demand comes after a leaked DOJ memo claimed that there is no Epstein client list, no evidence of blackmail, and no reason to suspect Epstein was murdered—contradicting previous public statements by Bondi, who once said the list was waiting on her desk.
Raskin and others expressed alarm at the DOJ's refusal to release evidence that could implicate Trump:
“Your conduct is particularly worrisome as it appears to be part of a pattern of using the DOJ to cover up evidence of criminal wrongdoing by President Trump.”
During a recent Cabinet meeting, Trump reportedly lashed out at reporters when asked about Epstein, calling him a "creep" and insisting that the public shouldn’t care anymore. This defensive outburst has only increased suspicion.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk—once aligned with MAGA—recently alleged that both Trump and Steve Bannon are named in the Epstein files, adding fuel to calls for full disclosure.
The Democrats also criticized the lack of transparency around Jack Smith’s probe:
“Prosecutors are being asked to defend themselves without access to the full report, while your office refuses to release the evidence gathered.”
They concluded by warning that the DOJ has effectively been turned into Trump’s personal law firm, with loyalists like Pam Bondi, Todd Blanche, and Emil Bove—all former Trump defense attorneys—now holding top roles within the department.
“The American people deserve uncensored answers and full transparency,” the lawmakers emphasized.
