Russia sends horror WW3 threat to UK - 'We will destroy you right away'

Russian State TV Hosts Issue Stark Threats to the West, Hinting at Possible World War III

On July 20, a provocative broadcast on Russian state TV's Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov featured chilling rhetoric directed at the UK, Europe, and the United States. Vladimir Solovyov, a well-known Kremlin-aligned host, alongside military analyst Evgeny Buzhinsky, delivered statements interpreted by many as veiled threats of escalating conflict.

In the episode, Solovyov asserted that Russia should "strike right now" rather than waiting for Western powers to prepare, arguing that preemptive destruction was justified. He specifically referenced the Kalingrad region, warning that if the U.S. were to attack, Russia could retaliate with nuclear-armed Poseidon torpedoes, potentially transforming a key maritime route into what he called a "Strait named after Comrade Stalin."

Solovyov dismissed diplomatic signals and warned that Western powers were ignoring Russian military actions, including recent missile strikes (referred to as "Oreshnik" strikes). He questioned assumptions that Russia would refrain from nuclear retaliation despite purported warnings from nations like India and China.

Military expert Buzhinsky echoed these views, warning that the West "profoundly miscalculates" Russian resolve and political will to respond with full force if provoked.

The discussion turned toward specific regional targets: Norway’s Arctic archipelago of Spitsbergen was singled out, with Solovyov suggesting the island’s small population made it a “quick” target, and that its disappearance might go largely unnoticed. Germany was also mentioned; Buzhinsky proposed that if Germany supplies long-range weapons, Russia should respond by sinking a German vessel in the Baltic Sea as a warning.

On Ukraine, Solovyov expressed harsh views, stating that the city of Lviv "should be erased off the face of the Earth," underscoring the severe rhetoric prevalent on the program.

The broadcast closed with commentary from Henry Sardaryan, dean at MGIMO’s School of Governance and Politics, who predicted that Western adversaries would escalate economic and political pressure—particularly in the coming months—to block any Russian advances.

This episode highlights the aggressive tone sometimes adopted by Kremlin-linked media figures and reflects the heightened tensions surrounding current geopolitical conflicts. While these statements come from media personalities rather than official government spokespeople, they contribute to a climate of international unease.
