Fox News slammed for 'hiding' Donald Trump's bruised hand: 'People deserve to know'

A recent photograph of Donald Trump has sparked widespread speculation after a large bruise was spotted on the back of his right hand during a White House signing ceremony. The bruise appeared visibly dark as he signed two executive orders at the Resolute Desk, with some observers also noting a lighter mark on his left hand.

What caught public attention was the fact that Trump seemed to keep his right hand partly concealed for most of the event. This led to accusations on social media that Fox News downplayed or avoided mentioning the issue, while critics pointed out the network’s past intense focus on President Biden’s health concerns.

One viral post on X (formerly Twitter) stated:

“If Biden had a bruise like that, Fox would run it 24/7. But with Trump, they stay silent.”

Others speculated the injury could be a sign of a deeper health issue, with one commenter claiming, “As a former nursing assistant, that bruise looks concerning.”

The White House, however, has offered a different explanation. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt previously clarified that the marks on Trump’s hand are linked to his routine handshakes with world leaders, combined with his aspirin therapy a common treatment for cardiovascular health. According to her, the bruising is “a benign side effect of aspirin use” and “nothing unusual.”

Still, speculation hasn’t died down. Some press pool members noticed what appeared to be makeup or concealer applied to Trump’s hand in recent appearances, which fueled further curiosity about whether the president is trying to minimize visible bruising.

For now, the official line remains that Trump is in “excellent health.” Yet, the visible marks combined with the secrecy around them continue to raise questions online about transparency and media coverage of presidential health.
