In a viral moment that quickly spread across social media, former U.S. President Donald Trump appeared to throw someone out of the Oval Office after they accidentally opened the door while he was giving a speech.
The incident occurred during a bill signing ceremony. Sitting at the Resolute Desk, Trump paused mid-sentence after hearing the noise. “This very, I think terrible hello, who’s that? Who is that back there? Get out of the room,” he said, before continuing his remarks as if nothing had happened.
The clip, shared widely on X (formerly Twitter), drew mixed reactions. Supporters praised Trump’s quick response, calling it “classic Trump” and posting memes and laugh emojis. Critics, however, called the move rude and unnecessary.
This moment comes on the same day Trump signed a controversial executive order targeting flag burning, an act currently protected by the First Amendment as free speech. According to the White House, the order directs Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute cases involving desecration of the U.S. flag and to explore potential legal challenges that could change how the First Amendment is interpreted. The order also gives the administration power to revoke or deny visas to foreign nationals who participate in flag burning.
Trump has long voiced his desire to punish those who burn the American flag, despite the Supreme Court’s previous rulings protecting it as symbolic speech.
Later in the day, Trump met with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, who praised Trump’s role in promoting “world peace” and asked for U.S. support in maintaining stability on the Korean Peninsula.
Interestingly, this all follows another viral moment: a lip reader’s claim that Trump whispered a chilling three-word promise to Vladimir Putin during their Alaska summit a detail that has further fueled political debate online.
