Sky News halted for breaking Donald Trump update as he issues warning

During his recent focus on Ukraine peace talks, U.S. President Donald Trump shifted attention to the conflict in Gaza, sparking headlines and debate.

Sky News anchor Kamali Melbourne interrupted programming to highlight a breaking post from Trump’s social media. According to Melbourne, Trump wrote:

“We will only see the return of the remaining hostages when Hamas is confronted and destroyed. The sooner this takes place, the better the chances of success will be. Remember, I was the one who negotiated and got hundreds of hostages freed and released into Israel and America. I was the one who ended six wars in just six months. I was the one who obliterated Iran's nuclear facilities. Play to win or don’t play at all.”

Trump’s words came as Israel’s security cabinet weighed its next steps in Gaza, including a potential reoccupation. Reports suggest the Israel Defense Forces may move to capture Gaza City, with civilian casualties already estimated to be approaching 60,000.

Meanwhile, protests inside Israel have been growing. Tens of thousands of Israelis recently took to the streets to demand both a ceasefire and the safe return of hostages still held by Hamas and other groups.

Trump’s message clearly signaled his support for a hardline Israeli response. He insisted that freeing hostages would only be possible if Hamas was eliminated entirely.

This latest statement follows a tense exchange earlier this month between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to reports, Trump reacted sharply when Netanyahu suggested that images of starving children in Gaza were fake. Trump reportedly shouted that he didn’t want to hear them dismissed as “fake,” underscoring the emotional and political weight of the issue.

For anyone following U.S. involvement in the Middle East, this marks another reminder of how American leadership views the Gaza conflict not just through diplomacy, but also through strong declarations of military support.
