President Donald Trump sparked headlines once again after an unusual incident in the Oval Office. While signing a House bill into law, Trump was interrupted when someone unexpectedly opened the door mid-speech. The disruption led Trump to utter five words that quickly went viral:
“Who is that back there? Get out of the room.”
The moment, captured and widely discussed on X (formerly Twitter), showed Trump briefly stopping his remarks before ejecting the unidentified individual. After the interruption, he immediately resumed his speech as if nothing had happened.
Interestingly, this incident occurred during the signing of a directive that tasked then-Attorney General Pam Bondi with prosecuting individuals accused of desecrating the American flag. Trump has repeatedly pushed for stricter penalties against flag burning, despite the Supreme Court’s ruling that it is protected free speech under the First Amendment. The directive also included provisions that could deny or revoke visas for foreign nationals who engage in such acts.
Later that same day, Trump met with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, who praised him for his role in promoting “world peace” and requested U.S. support for Korean affairs.
The Oval Office drama came just as Trump floated the idea of renaming the Department of Defense back to its historic title the “Department of War.” The former president has long argued that the old name projected greater strength and reflected America’s military victories.
This combination of policy moves and viral moments highlights Trump’s trademark style: blending hardline directives with dramatic, attention-grabbing gestures.
