Rudy Giuliani's injuries in full after horrific high-speed car crash

Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and longtime political figure, was seriously injured in what his spokesperson described as a “freak accident” in New Hampshire on Saturday night.

According to his head of security, Michael Ragusa, the 81-year-old was driving a rental car when it was suddenly rear-ended at high speed. Giuliani was immediately rushed to a nearby trauma center, where doctors diagnosed him with a fractured thoracic vertebra, multiple lacerations, contusions, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg.

Interestingly, moments before the crash, Giuliani had reportedly stopped to help a woman who flagged him down as a victim of domestic violence. He called 911 and stayed with her until police arrived. After returning to his car, the collision occurred. Ragusa clarified that the incident was not a targeted attack.

While it remains unclear why Giuliani was in New Hampshire, the accident has raised concerns given his age and fragile health following recent legal battles.

Giuliani first rose to national prominence in the 1980s and 1990s as a tough New York prosecutor before serving two terms as mayor from 1994 to 2001. In later years, he became known as a close ally of former President Donald Trump, playing a central role in contesting the 2020 election results. His involvement in spreading false claims eventually led to disbarment in New York and Washington, D.C., and a massive $146 million defamation judgment, forcing him into bankruptcy.

Now, with this accident, Giuliani once again finds himself in the headlines this time due to health concerns rather than politics.
